no, it's snot

but then... as he thinks the camera is off... preparing for a half-nelson

actually, he's doing fabulous, considering... well, notwithstanding that one relative asked, non-rhetorically, "so, when did he turn into such a snot?" ...anywho.

ps... if anyone can google my answer... i would really appreciate it... who 'invented' the shoe tie? are there good alternatives? you know, the cross part 1, and then the bow part 2... maybe a double knot for active kids w/ too long of laces... but really, why is it always done the same way? since when? since where? i googled out... help!

puff! and it's gone.

the last of the extended puff visits are over (as of today). and according to the wife, she already feels 'lonely'... the boy feels like watching cars dvd again... the girl feels like pooping... the man reserves judgement (especially in light of the fact that one of the said topics will be reading this back in hotlanta...) actually, it was 'nice' having all of those puffs stay here for the last 27 months (or was it 28?). and, no, this isn't typed under duress... of course, i'm still finding mary ann water cups in every nook and cranny of the house... and i can now roam around in my territory once again in my native dress (or, lack thereof) w/out bumping into an inlaw (talk about getting a lil too close to the relatives for comfort).

best buy sux (or... maybe not)

so, saw this best buy ad, and thought it was 'trickery'... i fully expected to go to best buy, see the cars dvd listed for 19.99 or 21.99, instead of the 14.99 that this thing 'looked' like it was... so, i kept the ad, went in to best buy today, ad in hand, and yup, sure enough, saw the dvd on sale... for 19.99! trickery! so, got the free cars 3-d poster, which is cool, and went to the checkout, buckin' for a fight over their deceitful advertising. i told the jr robot, "i think i'll need to see the manager", as i placed the 19.99 dvd and the 14.99 ad on the counter. "well, sir" (in a squeaky, high-low-hi voice) "let's just see what price it rings up as"... and bling, 14.99... dang... no trickery here... just a poorly placed price tag on an ad... dejected, i paid the $15 and took my dvd and poster home. he didn't know why it was listed on the box for $19.99... maybe that was the original intention, but too many anal-retentive folks like me had already beat them up of this 'sham like' ad. anywho, now we get to watch hunter's fav movie like... oh, 7 days a week for a month... i think best buy is ok... except for that ridiculous hawking of extended warranties from everything from cameras to batteries... it's comical how they 1) tell you what a great thingy you're buying, but then very quickly 2) tell you how 'these things break just by sneezing on them and you really, really should buy insurance on it', and then 3) act like a scorned lover when you demure and don't spring for the $12 insurance on the $35 phone... for the 4th time. anyway, maybe i'm just too paranoid, but i believe that in the bowels of best buy marketing dept, they intended to charge 19.99 for cars, and knowingly left that price off the ad so that one could assume it'd only be 14.99... but only mr. buy knows for sure... and he ain't talkin'. dag gum.

damn those square states!

so... let's take a trip back to 5th grade geography... of course, i got a "5" in it back then, along w/ everything else, except penmanship, which i consistently got 2s and 3s in... and yes, virginia, 5=A, 2=D... but in catholic grade school... it was all 1-5, and then a section of N or S (not satisfactory vs. satisfactory)...

oh, i bet dickie would ace this... "ya? if that dickie kid is such a friggin' genius, then how come he's still crappin' his pants!?!" sorry, had to channel hunter donald's namesake for a second there...
